i feed my discus twice a day they get fed in the morning then again at night, you should only be putting enough in that they eat in about 2 mins. what else do you have in the tank?

I always thought that discus didn't like a strong current in the tank but since i got a new filter and it doesn't have the spray bar attachment one of my dicsus just sit in the current from the outflow all day.... is this normal lol 

well they made it through the night and they are still fanning them but i haven't seen a change in colour of them :( will see what happens tonight....

Thanks guys dont think im going to be lucky this time tho they in a community tank and the rosy barbs have noticed the eggs so I think they may be gone by the morning. Going to try and get a new big tank to put this two in by themselfs tho

  Done all that I've had it apart and had the impeller out everything, just can't seem to get it to quieten down for some reason, i have phoned the shop and they are going to phone the manufacture to see what they say about it 

  hi    thanks this is the second filter i have had off them in 4 months the last noe was whisper quiet but the motor went on it and now this one making a loud rattling noise

i would love discus i just think they are amazing fish, deffo have heart set on them 

ok so if i changed my corys then would the stocking level be ok? as the post above says the discus would be pushing the tank?

Hi folks I'm getting an LED airstone that makes an air curtain at the back of the tank but i have just thought will this be ok with the heater being on the back of the tank? or will the bubbles make the heater think the water is colder than it is? thanks

Is it ok for a fish tank to get just a little bit of sunlight? I have my 240 litre in the living room and now that we are coming into the summer months the sun is staying higher and it get a little corner of the tank for about an hour or so.    I'm up the North Of Scotland so its not going to...

ahhh ok it gets amplified when i close the door on the stand i thought there might have been a way to quieten it down a bit 

  i got the aqua manta efx 1000u but when its in the cabinet there is a LOUD hum off it is there anyway to make it a bit quieter?

hi guys I'm trying to remove my internal filter in my juwel 240 tank i have tried fishing line and it just managed to cut into my hands lol, i have managed to get 4 of the blobs cut but can't manage to get the 3 in the corner any tips at all thanks
