Thanks guys. I'll try these "improvised" solutions! The fish is a small rainbow shark of about 5 inches. I don't know how he survived under such conditions. He's doing fine right now. Imma transfer him to the improvised quarantine "tank" later. :)

*Sigh* Sadly, my lovely angel didn't make it. He's kicked the bucket and moved on to fish heaven. I got home from school today and found him floating lifelessly on the surface. His fins were nearly gone and there was white film on his eyes, fins, and body.

I really don't know why the nitrate says zero. That's what the testing kit says.Whatever it is, it's only the black angel that's getting affected by all this. So a weekly water change? How much? 50%? 25%? Anyway is there any way for him to get better? He really is in bad shape.
