White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

Well, that's the last of the affected fish (I think). The cardinal tetra was dead in the tank when I came home from work today. The carbon STILL hasn't arrived. Will get onto the shop tomorrow adn find out what's going on. All the other fish appear fine. Should I still redose? Cheers

Cheers Wilder. All seems good in the tank at the moment. Even the Tetra's holding his own. Hopefully the carbon arrives today and I'll treat the tank again. Will keep you informed.

Thanks. Then after 2nd dose, do I then need to insert another carbon into both filters? Or can I just leave out the carbon

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

All the other fish are fine, except the last cardinal tetra...he is the only one with white spot. Will I need more carbon after running it for 24 hours (do I throw the new one away)?

Have done it already...was really hard, but had to do it. Do you think I should redose now? It said on the bottle redose after 7 days, which is Friday

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

Well, Just got up and looked and one of the sharks is dead (the bigger one). Should I put the other out of it's misery. Think I should have done that to the bigger one yesterday, it must of had a terrible night. was just floating upside down on the top this morning, not breathing. Think I will...

Hi Wilder, Here's a direct link to the photo's. The first photo is a couple of days ago. The last three are how the shark has got worse. http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/ll193/Bashyman/

Thanks for link. Just fed the fish and the sharks are still not eating. The scales appear to have turned purple on the top

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

I'm just really tempted to put them out of their misery. It's painful watching them. They used to be the most boisterous and lively of all the fish. I noticed yesterday they didn't eat either. It is really saddening. I'm just really angry about that LFS. Really don't want to have a total tank...

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

Hi, Realy don't know what to do now...both sharks have serious rotting of the fins...that's what it looks like anyway, or something has been biting the pair of them...what should I do?

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

Thanks Wilder. Unfortunately, the tetra is now dead. Will feed peas this morning. The barbs are still acting strange, but thankfully still alive. Can't believe that shop. All this seems to have happened since I bought the new fish. Will let you know any updates

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

One of the cardinal tetras is being really hassled by all the other fish. It usually stays around the bottom part of the tank, but is up towards the surface and is being nipped by the other fish. Maybe because it's in their territory. It's also just floating all over the place, like it's being...

What fish of mine won't get it then? So you think the sharks won't make it?

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

I remember about a year ago I had a couple of fishes get fin rot. Had all the nightmare of medicating, and still lost the fish over a few weeks. Don't want this to happen this time around, and certainly don't want to lose the whole tank

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

Right, an update. Got home from work today and the two loaches AND one of the cardinal tetras were dead. Have just done another water change and the second dose of the treatment. Just fed the fish (flakes) and noticed the sharks aren't feeding either. They swallowed a couple of bits, but only...

OK. Will feed them some peas this morning. It's obviously been brought in by the Loaches, so how long do I leave it before it will better for the other fish to put the loaches to sleep (clove oil). Have never had to do it before, but am worried about the infection spreading. Cheers

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

Half dose I think. I'm just following the instructions. 4 Days after first dose, I have to do it all again (Which is Friday evening) It's only the clown loaches that look quite bad. All the other fish are fine. The sharks do have some white spots but not many and it appears as they haven't got...

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

Come home from work today and the clown loaches appear to have a lot more white spots. Is this normal when 2 days into treatment? They're also laying around right next to the heating fillament too.

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

Yes...I have been extremely ill advised from the shop I purshaed these fish from. I originally bought the tank 2 years ago and purchased the tank and original fish from a different shop (Which has now shut down). The cardinals & barbs were in groups of 5, but have lost two of each over the 2...

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

All done. Also soaked rocks and ornaments in boiling water and removed silk plants. Obviously I can't soak the silk plants in boiling water, how can I ensure they are clean and free of parasites? Should I do another water change before the next dose of treatment on Thursday? Cheers for all...

White Spot Help And Suspected Swim Bladder

Yeah, it's strange about the spinning, they don't do it often and I've been watching them for the last 30 mins and have not seen them do it. What they do/did was kinda stop swimming, start going into a nose dive where their mouth end goes down and the tail up, sometimes they would get to...

Hi, Thanks for reply. Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Run out of Nitrate test and don't have PH test I feed the fish flake food and sometimes bloodworm (defrosted from the freezer in some tank water for about 30 mins) and yes, carbon filter removed from both filters As for the size of the fish, the sharks...
