Was gonna buy 2x clip-on light reflectors for my Juwel tank, but have an idea...!!! Instead of paying £10 per reflector (I would need 2 of) I was thinking of getting some foil tape, as used in air conditioning ducting, and sticking to underside of the top lids. Any thoughts...?

I have a 180L tank with 7x zebra danios and 6x Otocinclus. My question is this:- Would 6/7 forktail rainbows be a good addition to the family? Was thinking of getting some cardinal tetras, 2x kribs, Bristtle nose Pleco. Are these compatible...?

They've done a great job of cleaning the algae from the tank, so should I be supplementing their diet with algae wafers or something else?

Just found one of my seven (now 6...!) Otocinclus dead, floating against the inlet vent of my external filter. No visual signs of illness. All other fish seem OK. Any ideas...? Did PWC yesterday, checked levels today and all good.

Cheers for reply m8. Tank does not receive any direct sunlight. Have tried to reduce light timings. Was going to get a plug in timer for maybe 8-10 hrs per day. Started off feeding fish twice per day but have reduced to once a day. Would an external filter help algae problem at all...?

Checked levels tonight...all good...ammonia 0ppm, nitrite 0.25ppm, nitrate 40ppm (will do part water change later...) Have a slight green haze across tank, visibility v.slightly reduced.... Any ideas....? Was thinking of getting external filter to "help" internal filter...?

Quick question....!!! When doing water changes, do you HAVE to clean the gravel(with a gravel vac) at the same time, or even at all...? I have read somewhere ( can't remember where...!) that you don't need to clean it at all..? HELP PLEASE...!
