Just about all new world cichlids will up root and destroy plants, nothing to worry about.

Thats waynes shark, its a black and its 20" im kinda in a race with him :) those other large fish are peacock bass but still are very young.

LFS Green Terrors max out at 10" where as pure gold saums green terrors hit about the 16" range, i would say a green terror + firemouth + pleco would be fine in a 55g.

You are correct when you say they do better in packs because they are a pack fish witch should be brought in 5's. As for the neons they will be eaten as soon as the discus feel safe in there new home.

99% of wild caught cichlids are bred in fish nets on the sides of the rivers.

Most of them are agressive, they tent to fight abit over a log or rock but it never really gets out of control, the midas is the most agressive by far though because its 10-11".

I would say, Red Devil, Female Red Terror, Texas and a Jaguar, BUT! this fish must be brought as 3" and no larger so there for they can grow up with each other and there will be much less fighting going on. Just remember when these guys grow up your tank will look full.

If you lived in Australia im telling you know those fish would be mine im yet to see a better looking flowerhorn so far. Do you have anypics without a flash?

Jellybean parrots are mixed with 50% convict blood, Check out the hybrid forum there is a picture there in my pinned topic. Like all American cichlids you should just treat these guys the same in food, bloodworms, flake food and so on. They do get a bit bigger than 8" mine is already 8.5"...
