yesterday i went to my local pet store to pick up a couple things. i went over to the cichlid tanks to see if they got any new fish in and i saw "ROYAL GREEN TERROR- $9.99". the fish was about two inches long and it was a very colorfuly stunning fish. so i decided to buy it and went home and put in a 30 gal(LONG) tank that was recently unacupied because my three inch long jaguar jumped out!!! when i got home from work i searched all over the web for this "royal green terror" and only found info on the "green terror". does anyone know if this fish even exists? or do i have a regular "green terror"? and i am pretty sure green terrors dont run for $9.99 a pop. if anyone has any info on this fish i would be very thankful for your help.

Fish stores often have the habit of coming up with their own names for fish, perhaps to help them sell, or maybe to raise prices. browsing photo's on the net can help you determine if it's a GT.

If its in a LFS then it isnt a PURE green terror it would be a cross breed between the Gold Saum Green Terror and the Aequidens rivulatus Green Terror.
The Gold Saum is the one witch grows to 16" or so and the other to about 10" max.
In this case because it is in a LFS and it would be a cross between the two i would say it wouldnt hit over 10" so a 30g would be fine with no tank mates besides a catfish of your choice.
