If I can find an adapter haha.

I think the one I’ve got is 75cm-105cm it says 24v on the label on the light so I’m guessing I’d need a 24v adapter.

Does anybody run one of these on their tanks? I brought one really cheap as it had no adapter and I’m trying to find out what voltage one I need.

It Seems to had little if any effect at all really! I dosed as per the instructions but 4 days later the snails are still thriving! should i re dose?

i only ever feed every other day   its only a 30l nano which i want to put shrimp in so was worried that snail killer would not be safe?   Would a trap be effective in a heavily planted tank?

If i were to remove the fish and crank the co2 up it would gas the snails but my question is would it have a negative effect on the bacteria in the filter?   I need to get rid of these things haha

if your pH is 0 your fish are living in hydrochloric acid, which i very much doubt!!

when i added the tank water it turned green!   left it in the tank for 3 hours and this is the colour but there is no co2 being added at the moment??   confused     ive ordered some 4dKH so hopefuly it will be a better colour when added to that.

it says add 5 drops to then add tank water but surly id need to know the dKH of my tank water to get a true reading? is that right?

I just got my co2 drop checker and being new to the whole co2 thing am unsure of one thing.   Do i need to get some dkh4 to go with this?

I had a red claw crayfish about 2 years so was a nice size. put him in with my SA setup first time he shed one of the cichlids  killed him :( im betting the oscar! Lesson learned....He was fine by himself!

ive got a very similar tank,   you should be looking at 2 u4's for that or go for an external filter

ive decided to go down the fire extinguisher route for co2 .... what do you think?   obviously before     And after      

i agree what are your dimentions? they are 8.9 x 7.6 x 31.8cm and are rated up to 240 litres what filter do you already have?

I have 2 of them and I think they are good internal filters. what size tank have you got?

could you not cut your hood to accomadate the inlet and outlet?

the aborting could have been due to the stress of being moved into the trap too early

Why not think about an external filter? Much easier to maintain a cleaner look and something like an fx5 would alow for heavier stocking :)

i have never had a heavly planted tank so never tried a silent cycle, i thought id try them (as MA said it wouldnt hurt to add them) so far all the readings are ok and looking promising :)

thats the trouble ive found, no real reviews. ive used it and am recording the results daily so we shall soon see hopefully!
