it depends how big your tank is!

do you want a new tank or have you looked at second hand ones, i got a 6.5ft tank and stand with an fx5 2 eheim 2028 and 3 fluval u4 off ebay for £260! there are lots of bargins out there and if your in the market for a new tank its well worth looking around and waiting also see if any lfs have...

hes in there with a red spotted sev, a firemouth a royal plec and some columbian tetras. when you say move things do you meen re arange the tank so its not so territorial?

I just thought id share my latest addition. its only about 1" -1.5" at the moment so tiny! PIC my firemouth whos only about 3"-4" keeps chasing it when it comes out, is this ok, is it just cos hes saying "oi this is my tank, who are you?"

i was just wondering wat other people feed their fish to vairy their diet? i only ask as after reading another post i found my sev is quite partial to a bit of brocoli!!

i had a small tank wich had 8 neon tetras in (4 normal 4 black) while i was at work my other half found the tank had sprung a leek and didnt know what to do but to put them in my 350l tank which has some collumbian tetras a sev a firemouth and an ebjd in. the tank is way to big to catch them...

thanks for that am i right in thinking theese plug into either end of the tube into a starter unit then into the wall, or am i thinking of something else? they are t8s btw

i hadent heard that before but on looking in to it they say "Will run efficiently in a horizontal or vertical position" :blink: so it looks like you can every days a learning day! i run 2 u4's in one of my tanksa and imo they are good filters and easy to mantain.

i have been looking for one in the devon area for ages maidenhead aquatics in plymouth have a couple in at only 1" but they are £65 :crazy: anyone help?

this firemouth is still available! someone must be able to give it a better home it just hides away in the plants an behind the filters untill the other one sees it and chases it to another hiding place :sad: i will even drive within reason to drop it off!

i think what chrisrm was saying is that people should know better than to overstock a tank with big fish. people who buy such fish as him should know there adult size and therefore should maybe do a little thinking, maybe a little math and come to the conclusion that actually, no, my tank isn't...

i was looking on ebay at fish, as one does! and came across a bloke selling Arowanas , 3 of them ... 13" long... so i messaged him asking if the fish were all in one tank or seperate ones. he messaged back saying they were all in one tank, a five foot tank along with a 10" oscar a lima...

yeah still got it. its only a couple of inches i got it from a friends tank as it broke and he couldnt afford to replace it its in a tank at the moment with a slightly bigger firemouth a severum some columbian tetras and a royal plec, but it spends most of the time hiding away where abouts...

i got thees lights the tubes apperently work but the fittings look roughpic#1pic#2, im no electician but im not convinced about the wiring or casing! my question is where could i get and how much would it cost for the new fittings? the tube length is 91 cm

is it better to buy them all small or can i buy them at differant sizes over a period of time? i have an fx5 and 2 ehiem pro 2028.is that enough filtration?

i found a royal today. it cost me £45 about 2" expensive i know but it was what i wanted! the L128 was nice but harder to get (round here) than the L190 so i bit the bullet and did it. is it possible to sexthem so small? (just for intrest)

Has anyone heard of this oscar before, i saw them labled up as this. they had a similer patern to a tiger or albino but were a pale green colour i tried googling them but found nothing!
