I had a net curtain tension rod left over from some while ago and tend to stuff a couple of "wan sheet does plenty" sheets in then push through with the tension rod :)

the last time i was there they had a large amount of 70's furniture that just isn' keeping in with our Ikea life style lol but I know they have a seperate "office" warehouse that will have more up to date furniture board styled wood.

ah had been hoping there may be some form of scrap yards for kitchen units available in the uk that i hadnt heard a term for lol. might pop down the local recycling centre and see if there is old furniture that could be cannibalised.

I used the guide on the pinned topics diy section to make a hood for my 4'. Had to modify the top cross bar to a T bar because otherwise the cat sitting on it was simply bending it but the missus loves how it looks, enough for me to be let loose on a home made stand.
