4Ft Tank - Your Suggestions Wanted

Ok I have a 48" x 15" x 15" tank and looking for your suggestions for stocking it.

I'm looking at sharks or cichlids (or both?) suggestions, something I can have 2 or 3 fairly large sized (for the tank) fish

Colours are a good thing too, have two young kids that love to watch the fish.

Zebras, blues or reds are very fascinating to them.

why dont you turn it into a malwai tank ( species only tank ) they grow to sort of 6 inches. very colourful. kids will love them

My lfs has electric blue haps that I am quite interested in. I think basically I normally have a direction I want to go in but this time round looking for some inspiration
