Never heard of them being trained, i know there pretty smart and can also see what food it being fed to them outside the tank but i think thats like most cichlids.

Wouldnt think so, i seen a betta get out of those cup things that hang on the sides of the tank and one of the crips went upto it and ripped into its throat then let go and a couple more followed after that killing it. And yes i did tell the LFS owner but she said it will be fine, go figure.

Its not a blue acara, im pretty sure its a Pearl Cichlid witch hit about 8" and ues all those fish will become feeders within the next couple of months.

80% of new worlds are large 10" and over but there are heaps of africans that are small and very very hardy, also more colorful

What should i feed this fella and im told they grow really fast but catfish to me grow slow, so is this a fast grower for cats? also he is breathing a bit heavy tonight but seems more relaxed now so he is used to the tank.

Cichlids, i change my water with cold tap water and smoke around the tanks and i have ever dropped a smoke in there without knowing, nothing kills them besides each other.

Gudgoen snakehead that is, or that was what it was labeled. Its about 7" and is damn ugly but so cool! ive left it at the shop because i dont know what it go with. Anyone here who knows what fish i got can they tell me if they will go with any of them because they told me they are agressive.

More Africans can be keept with plants, the largest cichlid of them all is an african as well, but the best fish to keep with plants and also the largest is a Frontosa. There arnt any New Worlds that i know of.
