I'f i had to venture a guess I'd say he's no more then 3 inches

PEAKA BOO , he's cute now , isn't he .

Wow, he's so TINY!! It's fun looking at the babies of these mean ol' cichlids and thinking about what terrors they'll be when they grow up :p

very cool, looks much smaller than 3 inches

how big of tank ya got for that guy?
he/she is in a 75 Gallon High

after a 2nd look yeah he's smaller then 3 inches, he swims around too much to get a decent measurement lol i'd say 2-2.5"

congrats

tiny little guy,but before you know it he will be big :flex:

Well done. cute little fella. You know if you want you can add some sort of large catfish as red devils do get along well with cats.

what kind would be good, i like the Pictus but that would be pushing the limits wouldn't it?

here's a full body shot of him, i caught him while he was pigging out on his plankton

I suggest taking that plastic pot out.It has some nice sharp corners, perfect for slicing open your fish when it rubs against them.

 Good point .

You can probably find some small pimelodus , though when every thing is full grown :dunno: , as the biggest my pims have ever gotten is about 5 or 6", And have never kept a Devil , Four lines get bigger , just don't seem to be as common , at least in my area .

good idea, its doesnt look very safe for the little guy, why didnt you just leave it round and set it on its side?

they're only temp until i get ahold of the bigger ceramic pots, i would have gotten teh ceramic when i bought those but the devil and snake have drained my bank account dry

thansk for the concern though

forgot to mention i filed them down after i cut the space out

missed this, there is 2 pots in there and one is left alone on its side but he prefers the cut one
