    Water Conditioner: Does Brand Matter?

I looked at seachem's website and they have more concentrated form of prime (seachem safe) in a powder form. though the only problem I can see is how to measure such small dosage (100mg = 60L).
  6. J

    Water Conditioner: Does Brand Matter?

okay. but with prime dosage 5ml = 200L. 500mL bottle is good for 100K liters. that's a of water!

    Water Conditioner: Does Brand Matter?

can you please help with seachem prime. seachem prime dosage is 5ml = 200Liters. If my pail is only 20L, I would need a graduated cylinder to get correct/approximate measurement. Unless it is possible/okay for me to fill up the tank first and then add prime?

Do You Really Need To Replace Filter Media?

I'm talking about media like noodles, bioballs and sintered glass. Do you really need to replace these? They are not like carbon and other "absorbing" material (various media from seachem and etc) that get spent. I can see the logic in cleaning them as part of a routine maintaing the canister...

    So I'M Considering A 70Cm (H) Tank...

it's probably my lack of knowledge when it comes to this hobby but 2x 150W halides are common with planted setup and you don't see/here the same effect?

    So I'M Considering A 70Cm (H) Tank...

Do you think 6x54w T5 HO would cut it? I can't afford halides at the moment. but at combined watts of 324W, it's more than 2 150W halides which is common halide setup. Thanks again. :)

so the 2nd hand tank I bought supposedly has a crack in the bottom plate and the current owner has brought it to a pet shop to be repaired. He said, they'll put glass to fix it. Without seeing/knowing how this is done, I can imagine the fix to be a glass on top of the crack section that has...
