    I'd say try to adapt him to eating flakes or you could try freeze dried bloodworms which Im sure wouldn't go bad in an automatic feeder situation. Problem is that some sinking pellets do pollute the water quite a bit.

    When say a ghost shrimp molts and reveals its soft body, will all fish be eager to have a taste? Or will certain fish not be tempted to take a bite. (eg. certain tetras, etc) Also will certain plants be able to provide as shelter for molted shrimp?

    Thats great! I barely know any fish hobbyists in Chicago. I'm located on the University of Chicago campus. I'm currently in my 2nd year of medical school at Pritzker but i still love to learn about fish. Expecially guppies :rolleyes:
