Yes, they are most likely spawning. The males (which, yes, are smaller.) will chase the females and nip at their rear ends in an effort to get them to release their eggs. Once they are released, the males will then fertilize them as they fall. They will also eat any eggs they can get at.

How old are they? Perhaps they are spawning? I am not sure what time red-eyed tetras spawn at, but I know that's how they would do it. (Chasing each other like mad.) My fish are active all the time, except for at night, when they sleep.

Hey guys! I found this weird snail in my 16 gallon fry tank, and he was pretty big... :unsure: It's shell looks clear when it's inside, like it's been eaten away by my water not being too acidic or something. It's body is spotted, and the snail is about the size of my pointer finger...

I can't say danios. One somehow got sucked up by my filter and was dead a second later. I have no idea how that happened, but it certainly shouldn't have killed him. I'd say platys. Even if they do get diseases, they live for forever and a half! :lol:

Water stats are fine. Ammonia & nitrite is 0ppm in all tanks. Nitrate ranges from 15-20 ppm in my tanks. Ph is a steady 7.5 (Or 7.4, it's between the two.) I clean 25% of the water once or twice a week. I siphon almost every time. (About 8-9 times out of every 10 cleanings, if that makes...
