I believe erythromycin may be killing off the good backteria in the tank. I would do a 75% WC whenever the ammonia is at .25 or above. You may need to do daily WC till ammonia levels are less than .25. You need to get ammonia to zero. Nitrate should be at 20 or below. You would be best...

The reason our site is almost trouble free is that the mods (especially Essjay) weed out the riffraff among newly registered users.

@Alice B Usually just shutting off the valves under the sink will suffice to change the washer or entire faucet. But if the plumbing is very old, be sure you know where the water shutoff valve for the whole house is located in case the following happens to you. There is some swearing in this...

That’s exactly the faucet type that I have in the basement laundry room. Mine is over 70 years old and other than replacing washers, it works great. Has threads to attach a garden hose or python siphon. Has lots of water pressure and is easy to regulate temperature.

I got my Java moss for free when I bought some shrimp. They gave me just a tiny piece as they said shrimp like it. In 3 years it grew into a huge mass. Today I trimmed it back significantly after cleaning it.

The movie It Came From Beneath the Sea showed several aquariums in it. Really well made movie.

He looks great and I think he’ll be just fine. He’s just acclimating to the tank. In a day or two he’ll be happily roaming about.

I didnt like when they added a half hour to the show to allow for more commercials. You can find some of the movies from his show on free streaming if you have a smart tv. But I do like the commentary and schtick on his show which does add interest to the movie.

My car is 22 years old but only has 95,000 miles on it. It will rust out before it the engine dies.
