Flowerhorn Cichlid with Divider, yes or no?

Long time ago my family have a big tank divided in 2, one for small fish and the other one is for flower horn. One day one of my fish managed to squeeze through the divider, and I found his headless body stuck in the divider. So my advice is either go for community tank or flower horn tank...

    Better fish food?

Unfortunately I cant find bug bites here. But i think i agree with your point, my fish probably love the variety of their foods. So while im very tempted to buy NLS,I think considering the budget I have i'll go with combination of hikari and tetra. Thanks!

    Better fish food?

For me it is a bad idea, because the shipping itself cost more than 30usd and it takes 2 weeks to arrive here. But thanks for the input!

    Better fish food?

This is so interesting! I noticed some of them only said they have high quality food and avoid saying they use whole fish mealmeal but overall its very informative! Thank you!

    Better fish food?

Yep it really unfortunate, there's many other brands though, but most of them doesn't have reputation like hikari and tetra, and I really want to give my fish the best food I could afford. As for live food at least every once a week i'd go buy live food and usually it'll last 2 to 3 days. And...

    Better fish food?

Hi! So my TetraMin is almost run out and im planning to try some other brands. The problem is most of recommended brands like omega one, or xtreme, etc2 are not available in my country. After searching for some time, i finally found several options: TetraRubin, TetraTropical, and TetraPro...

    Indentifying and fighting algae

I've seen and read people using bleach to kill it, I've tried it with my anubias and it works BUT I don't really advise using this method as your first option, like what everyone said try using excel or hydrogen peroxide. If its not work then you could try the bleach method, be advised not all...

Get ready for all the same old questions.......

I think @GFAJ almost cover anything, so here's a little tips for me, search fish species that can live in your water parameter, rather than conditioning the water to the fish needs, its better to choose fish that can live in the same water parameter as yours. So water test kit is a must

Right? If I have a tank big enough to house them i'd rather keep an Oscar in there, or maybe planted tank with 1 bichir if it could be done. Hmmm now Im wondering if I can keep bichir in planted tank, GOOGLING TIME!

Help me fill my tank with plants

Well I honestly don't know why some people don't like it lol. As for the sand I'm not an expert so I don't feel comfortable giving you any thoughts on this matter, so please understand that I might be wrong. I think if you use root tabs it shouldn't be a problem BUT I've read somewhere that sand...

Thanks i'll keep that in mind, to be honest I'm quite disappointed with how my SAE doesn't really help me with my algae problem, but strangely I want to make a dedicated tank for him, well.. Not really dedicated for him but at least my SAE will be the centerpiece, turned out I really like their...

Yep this is why I really not sure if mine is true SAE, since mine almost looks like a true SAE(from every source that I read) except the black lines doesn't looks continue to the tail. And from what I've read they should eat Black beard Algae, and mine doesn't really touch the BBA

    Quarantine

IMO longer is better, but it depends on your quarantine tank, if it has a nice filter, heater (if needed), enough space to swim and maybe some plants and decorations probably your fish will be fine in there for a longer time, but I personally will do 2 weeks - 1 month quarantine. As for your...

Help me fill my tank with plants

I could be wrong, but isn't sand is inert? And I think it'll be hard to make carpeting plant using sand cmiiw. But if you want to make it looks like dense forest maybe you could plant a wall of hornwort at the back, i know many people doesnt like hornwort, but they are one of the easier plants...
