I've cut back the plants to half, added another piece of light gel over lcd lights and have cut down the light to 8 hours.

On the floating plants I have green slimy algae. Will it harm the fish at all?

Yes it was 32degrees it was very hot. I panicked. I thought about it and I got one today from the shop.

No it's not the glass broken. It was so hot this morning. Yes, it's just outside of the 2 year warranty. From what you saying I don't need the heater over summer. Maybe I'll get one in the winter. It might get cold overnight.

I found this morning my heater had broken. I'm just wondering if I need one? The temperature in the room is warm in winter, it hardly ever gets cold and in summer which it is now gets very hot in the room and doesn't use the heater. Can I leave the heater out or should I replace the broken one...

I've had an operation and can't lift for 4 weeks It's a 70litres 8 black phantom tetras I feed them bug bites little at a time for 5 mins nearly every day The plants in there are not planted, they will grow at the top a bit and some roots on some of the plants.

I can't do a weekly water change. How long can I leave a water change? What is the longest time I can leave between a water change? Otherwise I will have to do 2 litres at time :( Tank is 70 litres and 8 black.phantom tetras. Up untill now I've been doing weekly to 10 days

I have been watching my fish, 9 black phantom tetras. I think I have 5 females and 4 males and the males are nipping at the females, one male is hiding in the corner in the plants and it looks like there is maybe 1 or 2 male aggressors who are doing the nipping. Is this ok and normal behaviour...

Maybe 1/2 - 3/4 off the roots. The roots might keep growing and be annoying for the fish

Hi I have Indian leaf fern growing on the surface of the tank. It has lots of roots coming down. Can I trim the roots?

I would like to know the way to see all the beginners starting point posts but can only see three. Is anybody able to point me in the right direction?
