Two tetras just disappeared this last time. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I like the Cory's. They are so cute. I would love to get some more and I think I would do the weekly water changes. Over the summer the tank has been getting hot around 26c -27c. I can't control that it's the room that's hot.

I'm so used to losing fish now. I still find it sad but I expect it now. I have never been able to find out what it is.

Hi there, my Java fern is growing and the roots are growing off the driftwood into the water down to the gravel. What do I do with the roots?

I have introduced 3 new black phantom tetras 2 male an 1 female to a tank that had 3 male and 4 females already. How do they behave when they first meet the other fish. Will the fish need to get used to the new tank and is it ok for their top fins to be pointed back instead of puffed up on top?

Yay I did a water change

I was leaving it over 14 days but within a least month. I was still changing the water just not as regularly. Ive put salt in the water now and so my motivation is to get the salt out. The remaining fish are ok at the mo. I have 4 males and 4 females black phantom tetras

I've been doing regular water changes for the last 3 weeks.

Ammonia is 0 (I think) Im using the freshwater master kit and the 0 and 0.25 readings are so close Nitrite is 0 Nitrate is 0 (looks ok) Yes, its cycled All the levels look ok. Thanks

I'm not sure what to do with the sick fish, it's like gasping and kind of swimming still in one place. I took it out of the tank for a few hours then I've just put it back in now. I'm not sure what I should do with it.

Thanks, I should really get a oxygen stone/airstone for the purposes of looking after the sick fish. I can do 2mpro. I have turned off the lights and the filter. Probably adding salt, not a good idea.

Can I put a sick fish in a bucket of water?

Hi I have noticed a fish swimming on the suface of the water near the filter opening and closing its mouth. I have added some tonic salt because it looked to me that it was fin nipped. Not sure if that was the right thing to do.

Can u suggest a good fertilizer. I have been using flourish.

I do use fertilizer occasionally. It ambulia. It's so easy to grow for some people but hard for me maybe there is not enough light. I even bought an extra light for my fish tank. Still no good. :(

I was doing a water change today and the water was below the heater. When I moved the heater at this point the heater was hot I put it into the water and it sizzled. I took it out unplugged it of course but then I plugged it in to see if it was working. Should I replace a heater that does that...

Thank you. So it doesn't harm the fish if I haven't done a water change for 3-4 weeks. I can still do 4 buckets water change with no affect.

I have cyanobacteria in my tank. I'm not sure how to get rid of it because if I reduce the light by how much and how will I know it is working. Just a thought but I'm quite frustrated.
