I feed my nannostomus unifasciatus baby brine shrimp, microworms, grindal worms, seed shrimp, and moina macrocopa because they wont eat prepared or frozen foods. Get some microworms as they are stupid easy to culture (just bung them in with some wetted corn-flour for a month) and the fish love...

Should be lots of good rhizome there no matter what's happened to the leaves. Just put it in strong light and within a few weeks it will fill out nicely. All the best.
