Just in case it’s worms... should I treat the tank

It depends on how valuable those fish are to you, are you willing to sacrifice them if it does not work? Do you do nothing and replace the lot? Tough issues we can not make right for you, we can just share info.... Here is what I have learned, though I admit I am new to guppies, but been...

    Enduring Power of pest snails

Linda, that all makes sense. I have to be careful here, so I am trying white cloud minnows this year, to eat the 'skitter fry!

    Enduring Power of pest snails

First I have nothing against pest snails and consider them just part of the clean up crew. But this happened today and happens to shoot home just how enduring these little critters are, not to mention how they got the moniker of 'pest'... (ignore the blue stones at the bottom right of first pic...

    Snails

You could do a couple snails, but the thing with snails, if you want them to look good, you gotta feed 'em. If they are a "pest" snail, 2 will be come,....well, infinite. Even one, if fertile, could be just as bad. Mystery snail would work, and if you keep ;em fed, the damage to plants in...

No more fish from Petco/Smart for me. High % die.

While I am not a fan of the BIG BOX Pet Stores and find the selection and quality lacking at best. No matter how educated, experienced or knowledgeable / enthusiastic an employee is at that Big Box, they are still quite limited by both the company's policy, practice and product. LET THE BUYER...

    Guppy' and blowing a fuse!

Thank you! I have not had any in a long time, and I may have paid too much for what I brought home, and I over bought, since I did not plan on 4 quarantine tanks, but here we are! If I can keep each line going and do the crosses I am thinking, I hope to have some more beauties to show off...

    Guppy' and blowing a fuse!

So, weather held well enough, I made it to the Quad City IA Fish swap on Sunday. Found some ancistrus plecos I was looking for, but was on the hunt for some high fin platies and/or guppies.... Well, I sure did it with the guppies! Not much of a photographer and have a crap phone camera, as...

    Angel fish eggs

There were two schools of thought back in the day, when I was (trying) to breed angels.... One: you pull the clutch, shortly after they are done, Pull the eggs, or the pair, then parent the slate (or medium they laid on), airiate and fuss, trying to optimize the hatch, ward off...

    Surprise Ancistrus breeder

My first brood to spawn in my 55g.. Normal fin normal male, (hoping when I selected him, he would carry albino), all the tank females are LF albino, two have blue eyes, and I believe one of them is mom. Dads sister (albino female, bought in a group I assumed from the same spawn)... but it paid...

    Java Rice fish

Well, I believe I may have fry, but not quite what or where I expected! The trio of BEJRF have been in their tank for 3 weeks Monday. They spawn just about every day, except the day after I have done water change. They are in a well planted 10 gal, (pic) with a few bn pleco about 2 months...

    New with vague plans

Are there any good sites the show or explain the color variants in A. Cirrhosus? How much is known about genetics and dominance? Someone told me LF is partial dominate and another person told me regular red eye lemon/albino is recessive to BE Albino/lemon..... AND there are the NORMAL color...

I was thinking about breeding the BN some day, but they grew up faster then I thought, so I became a pleco breeder! hehehe
