    Does This Stocking Sound Ok To You?

    Not sure how the gourami and rams will get on as the rams need a slightly acidic PH compared to the gourami i think 'Dont quote me on that though'. Apart from that it seems fine to me :good:

    Cichlids

    People have and keep set-ups with different cichlids from certain origins, say for instance lake Malawi, they will have species that only come from lake Malawi meaning their set-up is pure and has all the correct species kept together. If that makes sense??

    Starting My New African Cichlid Tank

    Not having cloudy water is good and the algae will come with time depending how long your lights are left on for. synodontis multopunctatus are really nice and work brilliant with malawi's their common name 'i think' is cuckoo cat or something like that. Bristle nose plecs also go down well with...

    Starting An African Cichlid Tank :}

    Yeah i think you have a group which is good. Are they all related?? They could cause a few problems in the bloodlines plus their colors and barring may not be in the best condition but if your not selling the fry on i wouldnt worry. I doubt any of the fry will survive anyway as the vast majority...

    Starting An African Cichlid Tank :}

    Right The Most obvious signs of sexing cichlids is the color the males will always be the brighter more vibrant fish, obviously if they are juvenile its pretty hard to tell the sex unless you vent the fish. Which is a whole new topic lol. Mbuna male Cichlids (and even some females) have "egg...

    Not good :( ask them why?? Right the first pic: Is a Copadichromis borleyi female and the fish in the background could be pseudotropheus elongatus ornatus (not sure) The second pic: Could be a juvenile metriaclima estherae but its face looks a little like a labidochromis caeruleus (yellow lab)...

    I keep watching the vid and its frustrating me lol can you get any more pics?? Well you have 6 labs so i would say another 12 to 15 (depending on species) so maybe 6 of 1 species and 6 of another species or 3 species in smaller group's. Just need to find out what the other fish are.

    All Male Peacock Tank

    True, just have to choose your species wisely, Otherwise you could have 2 or 3 males colored up and the other's left in a drab dull color(been sub dom males). Your tank could be a little small for some peacock species too.

    Starting An African Cichlid Tank :}

    Dwarf Mbuna will work well in your aquarium, Pseuodtropheus Saulosi/iodotropheus sprengerae and some Cynotilapia species to. You cold of also go down the tang route? Among Tanganyikan cichlids there is more smaller species to choose from that will be ideal for you tank.

    The first one i wouldn't worry about he/she looks like a thorough bred fish, the second does look like an acei just not sure with it been blurry. Good, will be able to tell what it is :)

    Starting My New African Cichlid Tank

    Ok sounds good :). You could have another play around with it at a later date. Most malawi keepers always change the rocks around a little every now and then just to help stir the sand and gravel up a little and make their tank look fresh again. Try the rocks at either side like there has been...
