Myth 1 &2....a thing to remember...not all sewerage treatment facilities are equal   My hubby worked at a sewerage treatment plan and i assure you some fish DO make it through.....   Also a busted pipe or issue in the sewerage system prior to reaching the facility can also be an issue Really...

So the salt treatment and the warmer water are appearing to work, there is only one bubble left and it has shrunk quite a bit......so fingers crossed still

Angels will cope just fine with harder water, ,and i keep mine at 25-26C, i have also kept them at 24C with no problems   Personally i would only keep a mated pair in that tank

I just use white vinegar.   After my bout of Columnaris with the angels, straight white vinegar must have done something as it never moved elsewhere or onto anyone else

Cherries end up as fish food here, they breed like wildfire!   I'm going to pick out some of the reddest and they will be going into a different tank, the culls can stay in with the BN

So Pea has been moved to a small tank (28litre/7.4gal) while i treat her. The tank is heated, filtered and i have a bubbler running. I'm trying salt first up, least nasty first. Will watch her and see if she improves. If not then we will progress to other meds, i dont want to lose her...

So done some reading and this is common in pearlscales and can be a sign of kidney failure :(

Scanning the tank this morning like i always do, and i notice Pea is developing the same thing i lost Joufflu too..... :( Will be doing a water test shortly, all params were normal last test so i dont know what it is......

Completely dry....i dont really take note of time...i just toss it into the pond until i want it.   Though if it still leaches a ton of tannin, which i hate the look of, it goes back out there

Because i have babbled on long enough lol....i grabbed a pic of where the tank is at presently  

The tank is overstocked....i dont over filter, as they really dont cope well with being churned around the tank, but i do need to do large water changes....i have just dropped their heater temp down to 23C to get ready for the colder weather (water changes are not such a big temp shock that way)

I ended up fixing the canister...it was actually very very clean (suprise)

Decor in...substrate in....planted salvaged plants (not foreground yet)   I cannot do anymore tonight....will finish it off tomorrow...     I will need to buy more plants for the new tank, but cant do that until i get back to work :( The canister is not yet running, i still need to pull it down...

The 2.6 is now empty......all the plants bar the foreground have been pulled and decor removed from the 3ft, now catching fish and transferring the the holding tank (they are VERY unamused)....no pics yet, not much to see. The 3ft is a cloudy mess and the 2.6 is green lol, dont think ya need...

So i am psyching myself up to get started on moving the 3ft decor to the 2.6ft.....this is gonna take a while lol   I do need to empty the 2.6ft and give it a clean, also the canister will need a clean as its been off for a while so will be stagnant (and downright nasty i am betting) I\ll also...

Yep, today i lost my gorgeous red flame dwarf gourami....got himself completely wedged in some wood :(   I just bought a coral blue to go in with the other 3, so now i am back to 3 DG's

Endlers breed at the same rate as guppies, and to make it worse they dont tend to predate their young like guppies do......you would be far better off keeping a male only tank if you went the way of endlers. My 2ft was very quickly over run with fry (females fry ended up as feeders, males i grew...

I also keep human food in the freezer and ignore the use by date.   The fish food is a fresh as the day it went in, i take a few weeks worth out and keep the bulk frozen......   My animals are certainly not a throw away commodity to me....with the amount i have i need to buy food in bulk...

They both look female to me....   OSBN, i thought, were fairly easy to breed, i know of quite a few here who breed them

Dude is back......not in the least unwell. He needed to be rehomed, i took him on so he will live out his days here, not entirely sure which tank he will finally be living in. Currently he is in the 3.5ft....

I am seriously thinking of moving all of this to a different tank lol   Gonna be a job and a half me thinks.....

When i go away for around a week, the fish just dont get fed.....safer than asking someone who has no idea to feed them for me lol

So i was looking at using the SunSun 2.6ft to change to marine, but after today i am thinking i will buy a marine setup that is sumped and ready to go. I found one today that i just love.....so as soon as i get back to work, this will be what i start organising to get!.....

Sadly Yogi of these passed away, and the BooBoo is not looking good. There were just soooo small. I may need to euthanise BooBoo unfortunately. Will give him today and see if he improves   Quarantine stopped what could have ended badly for all the goldies if i had of just put them straight in...
