Nothing has been added to the tank for months, parasite would be unlikely? this started roughly 2weeks ago. I wont rule that out though, better to be safe then sorry. Edit: just went downstairs to shut the dog up and found my female gt dead :-( :-(

Just happened again about 5min ago, skimming along the top of the water and hitting the tank lid. It just comes on randomly every now and again, nothing could of scared her as the male and other female sleep side by side at the other end of the tank. Tourette fish?

Got myself a wild caught male and female apistogramma nijsseni a few weeks back and as pairing goes, it's not looking too good. The male 'strikes' at the female pretty often but as they're still very small at about the size of a cardinal, she's got plenty of places to hide. Just wondering could...

I've got a female with silver dorsal fin and another with an orange dorsal fin, not really sure on that one :lol: If you can see my forum signature too, there's a picture of my male and female with that black spot showing well.

What size is your tank? i've heard people get away with GTs and keyholes in the same tank, it's unlikely though. It's going to be luck of the draw really, me personally would rehome the GT unless you planned on another tank in the future.

I'd say green terror too, female too if i was to guess the gender :lol: Here's a picture of 1 of my females (little roughed up from breeding fight). My 5-6inch male GT gets bullied by a 2-3inch kribensis, so they aint all so tough (i hope he stays a wimp though) :lol:

I changed my substrate with the fish in the tank so it should be okay, unless ofc it looks like a glass of milk? Only thing that'd be a problem with cloudy water would be oxygen levels, so i think?

I got a pH drop to 6.2 from 7.6 with a few small chunks of wood over roughly 2weeks, stabled back out with water changes @ roughly 6.8-7.0 though! Saying that though on another tank it dropped next to nothing lol.

How long should you leave it before placing it into the tank?

I've seen it a few times, normally if something scares them but nothing like that happened here. I watched her swimming around on 'guard' and then she'd just trip out and swim into things ect, she did knock herself out at one point and just lay there on bottom on her side. She's looking alright...

My female green terror is going NUTS, acting like a bunch of shark are chasing her or something. Thought she'd almost knocked herself out at one point too :sad: Any idea what is going on? all water stats and everything looks fine. She's done it twice so far today, had to catch her in a net...

Cut the cucumber up into little cubes then drop a few in, only way my green terrors will go for it. Sliced cucumber for pleco :good:

Don't have a suitable tank :sad: Tbh even though it's an awesome fish, not sure i'd personally get one as it'd limit stocking like mad - unless i had a good few tanks anyway :lol:

This'll save me from making another thread, same problem but had it for months. Lighting is on roughly 6-8 hours, low level lighting too. Stopped dosing ferts about a month ago. running diy co2 but had the problem before the diy co2. 50-70% weekly water changes. It did start to clear up but...

^^ and if you want to replace a filter with a new one, bang all the old filter media into the new filter and then switch it a little at a time over a few months. :unsure:

IMO it's not anubias coffeefolia but couldn't tell you what it is though :fun: Tried a little research for you and could it be anubias heterophylla? Aint we a lovely bunch of noobies :shout:

Looking good :good: . Anubias would look nice infront of that right side piece of wood, java fern could too but when it gets huge might take focus off the left side? What about the large leaf anubias with some smaller ones around it? :lol:

LFS trip for fish at weekend, will be coming home with either apistogramma or bol rams & maybe a BN plec to grow for my 55g. Here's an update picture, just waiting on the java fern to grow out so i can fill out the back left corner.

ex700 is right next to my bed, pillow touches the tank. Never hear it, hear the bubble popping in my diy co2 ALOT more :lol:
