Would look great but be aware that any depth over 2 foot is a real pain to reach the bottom to plant, clean etc. Mine is 2 foot 6 inch and I can't reach the bottom without sticking my head inside the tank Good luck though and don't forget the photos.

Anubias and crypts are always a good choice IMO. And the bogwood looks fine. Get rid of the fake plant tho.

builders merchants sell polystyrene sheets 8' x 4' 25mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm thickness is normally stocked. But the denser pink or blue insulation is better. IMO. also available at buiders merchants.

I have two 405's and would recommend them, look on ebay there are a few second hand ones on there for 50 to 60 quid. I actually got a new one a while ago for £80 just shop about there are bargains to be had.

Sorry I cant help you find any as I am in the UK, but I can tell you that they will be well worth the effort of finding some. In my opinion they are the best fish ever, I have a shoal of 17 and they are always on the go and very inquisitive, a great fish! Good luck!!

From what I remember its pretty straight forward to set up. Fill with water.... plug into the power and away you go, the only thing that needs setting is the light timer again pretty straight forward.

any fine netting will do the trick, even a bit of stocking and a tie rap will do.

I started by taking over my late father-in-laws tank over, 40 liter's, started breading increased to seven tanks. Got rid of those... Now have a 750 liter built into lounge fire place, a fluval edge shrimp tank and my daughter has a 130 liter in her bedroom.

rough guide high tech 3 watts per gallon. low tech what ever you want really, some plants like anubias and crypts will do well in a low tech low light tank.
