I have had difficulty keeping my fry from being sucked into my filters intake tube. I raise angelfish and livebearers. I also have trouble with snails getting into my filtration system. Sponges inhibit air flow, so I thought about using a net. I found a filter net on eBay that's cheap and seems like a good idea. Could someone check this out and let me know what you think. It can be seen at Aquareus.biz

Best Regard,
Thank you.

any fine netting will do the trick, even a bit of stocking and a tie rap will do.

Net or very clean pantyhose (tights) over the intake.

If the numbers are low why not use a breeding net until they are big enough to go back into the main tank. Another option would be to create a wier in one corner with a grill at the top, house the uplift for the external behind there,
