I have test kits and can test my aquarium water but I’m confused on when I should be testing it and signs that i should probably test my water, any advice? I just don’t want to run out of my test kit fast.

I only put a little bit of salt and it was for like 2 weeks, I’m gonna do what you said and put some more salt in and if it doesnt work I’ll double the salt dosage rate. Thanks, I’ll add the salt! And if it doesn’t work I’ll do the second step.

Yeah the pellets do float. As of right now they do not have a heater yet.

Right now he is in a small 2.5 gallon divided tank. It’s just a temporary tank until I can get a 10-5 gallon. He eats tetra small pellets. About 2-3 per day

I wouldn’t do 100% water changes, i think it can really stress the betta out more. Especially if your doing it daily. Maybe 60-75% water changes a day to keep the water clean. I also recommend you use something like methylene blue for him and some type of extreme fin rot cure water conditioner.

Higher the divider, probably gonna lower the water rn. I Also covered the spots that my bettas can jump out of the tank from cause I noticed there is a couple of spots that they can jump out of.
