    Suggestions For My Fish Tank

Yeah, definitely the endlers - you could probably get 4 or 5 of them, but males only. (A) The females are a lot less colourful and (B) they breed like wildfire, and will soon overload your tank.   Ah, Paris, a beautiful city, I have visited twice, the more recent being a day trip whilst staying...

    Suggestions For My Fish Tank

Definitely take the crayfish back, whilst I hate that website with a passion, on this occasion they are spot-on. Pincers and fins do not mix.   Buy an additional 2 panda cories, and an additional neon tetra, then something for the top - a few male endlers, or a dwarf gourami, or a honey gourami...

    Guppies In A Bowl

The point about bowls is that they, generally, don't have filters. Nothing wrong with a filtered bowl, so long as the filter is not overloaded.

Chilli Rasboras Dwarf Emerald Rasboras Celestial Pearl Danios all of which are shoaling, so 6+   Betta - single male   male Endler - a group of 3 would fit nicely with a shoal of the above   Peacock Gudgeon (aka Peacock Goby) - keep in pairs or a harem (1male, multiple females)

New Fluval View+Fish Sucked Into The Intake=Sad 10 Year Old

With all due respect to Amazon, the people who post reviews on there aren't necessarily experienced fishkeepers.   When you say "cycled", how did you do this? Did you use bottled ammonia, or a bacteria-in-a-bottle product, or did you just run the tank "empty" for 3 weeks? If the last of those...

Where Do I Stand In Terms Of Overstocking In My 10 Gal.

I would say that, purely in terms of bioload, you were about at maximum capacity, however it's also worth pointing out that both species you have are shoaling species. In the wild, they live in groups that consist of hundreds or thousands of fish. It's generally accepted, certainly around these...

    New Solana Tank, Centerpiece Fish(Es)?

I think Rams would only be an issue with the cories if they were mating, so maybe just a single male would be a good idea. You could also look at a single male Apisto species, which I personally prefer to Rams.   Your other option would be a top-level fish, Dwarf Gourami or Honey Gourami, which...

    Feeding Help

And just because fish will survive for a while without food isn't a reason not to feed them. I would probably survive for a week or more without food but I have no plans to try it.   I didn't say it was a reason not to feed them. I was trying to illustrate that they are naturally disposed...

    Feeding Help

Seriously? Fish can go for a week and more between being fed - just because they eat it, doesn't mean they need it. They have no "I'm full, I can't eat any more" mechanism like humans have.

    How Many Pairs

Can you give the exact dimensions of the tank, please, because not all 4 foot tanks have the same depth or width, and working out the volume of tank will be good.   Kribs are very easy fish to breed, they will do so without too much intervention, and when they do so, they become very very...

    Oooooooohh, I Want One!

There are various websites that have got classic speccy games available to play.   I'd like to get one of these to show the kids how much gaming technology has progressed in the last 30 years. Comparing Jet Set Willy to the graphics on our XBox One - wow.

Dr. Tims Waste Away And Bettas?

I think you would be better off trying to identify why you are getting the cyanobacteria in the first place, and curing it at the root of the problem. Treat the cause, not the symptoms.

    Just Need Some Advice...

I would disagree about the tetras being fine with salt in their water. They will probably be fine in a high pH, but the sooner you can get the mollies out into their separate tank, and keep the tetras in completely freshwater, the better.

    10Gal To Crowded?

Certainly the best fish to leave in the 10gal would be the betta - these are solitary fish, and would prefer a small tank to itself.   The rest of what sawickib said is good advice too.

    Newbie Here And Questions

Personally, I would say yes to moving the WCMM back to the temperate tank.   A 65l doesn't give you a huge amount of room, but you can still do a decent display with that.   First off, though, what pH is your water? This will guide us to what species are suitable for you. The other thing, if...

What To Do With Platy Fry

My Neon Tetras Are Getting Eaten And I Have Nooo Idea Why

A few questions and pointers for you.   Neon tetras are becoming more and more difficult to keep - have a read of this thread. I suspect that they may be dieing and then being eaten by the other fish - pretty much any fish will eat a dead one or a nearly-dead one. Certainly, none of the fish you...

    Just Need Some Advice...

No, you didn't mess up the cycle. That is for sure. Very very few bacteria live in the water, they live on surfaces, primarily but not exclusively in the filter, also on decor, substrate, etc.   A few questions and pointers:-   You aren't overstocked now, but when the fry have grown somewhat, it...

    New Tank Lover!

    1) I would say you are overfeeding. You need to feed a varied diet, so flake for a couple of days, then a wafer or two, then maybe some veggies. Give them a treat of live food every week or two. A lot of people recommend fasting them one day per week. I personally try to mimic the wild a little...

    Cardinal Tetras Or Neon Tetras?

Cardinals FTW!   Leaving aside the hardiness issues which others have mentioned, the cardinal is better looking anyway, with the red extending the whole body length, and the blue is, IMHO, a tad brighter.

Dream Tank I Need Help :)

The OP is based in the UK, so Craigslist isn't really an option. ;)     You can normally get some decent bargains on Gumtree or Preloved, less so on Ebay, but definitely worth looking there too.   If you'd prefer new, then ND Aquatics are the people to go to - here is their price list. 85 Litre Stocking

Hmm, tank's a little on the small side for apistos, but a really good choice in agassizii - they're my favourite apisto. You will need to keep seriously on top of your water changes, though.

Swapping My Fluorescent Tube For Cfls?

I've never used them aquaticly, but in normal room lighting they're great, but seem to be prone to early failure, despite the "Longer Lasting" advertising.   If you want to go low energy, I would strongly recommend LEDs.

Red Tail Black Shark Tankmates For 63 Gallon Tank

Yes, they know how to take care of themselves, but that doesn't necessarily make them good candidates. THis is because they are also bottom dwellers, so they will likely be in the firing line when the RTBS gets older and more beligerent.   Perhaps a large shoal of tiger barbs would work for...

    Setting Up And Stock Levels

I would echo the thought about the mollies, whilst they are sold as freshwater fish, everything I have seen and read indicates that they require slightly salty (brackish) water.   With your two tetra species, your tank is crying out for apistogrammas, IMHO. A male as a centerpiece fish and 2 or...
