I would not do it. I don't think beach sand can be cleaned well enough to extract all harmful chemicals etc., aquarium sand is so cheap in UK that I would not even consider going through the hassle of cleaning the beach sand. Just a quick google search told me that it can take weeks to clean...

idea - plant it in sand, make the roots flat before you cover them with sand. Pop some bigger pebbles on top. The plant should anchor itself and then after a few weeks remove the rocks/pebbles :)

It's the clear gel that you put on the back of your aquarium and then stick the background to it. Makes the colours on it look really good, very bright and easy to stick it on without air bubbles :)

I just used warm soapy water and a very soft sponge (to avoid scratching the glass), came off easily, then just used a paper towel to dry it. I absolutely hate vinegar and the smell of it so maybe that's why I never even thought about using it

It's an antiseptic stuff, back in Poland it's used on wounds on people and sometimes big animals (mainly on farms, as rivanol is rather cheap). I would NOT use it in a fish tank, it just doesn't seem to be the right thing.
