Maybe this will help........ Blood Parrots are, a lot of the time, splotchy black when young....along with whatever various colors it has in it. But sometimes when full grown and no longer having ANY markings on them at all, being SOLID pink or orange etc., BPs will start to get black...

When I was hunting around at the Rainbows I actually looked at my LFS fish guide book and the boesmani were the kind that I have pointed out. It is true that if yours are very young that they may look different, but I guess you will know sooner or later. Rainbows are lovely fish regardless...

I recall my parrot itching for a couple of days, here and there.........then......NOTHING!!! He was fine :dunno:

I just got a yellow one, undyed, to replace my poor little Polly! :-( But he is VERY yellow and also brown. So the natural colors can range pretty far from pink and orange! :nod:
