One question though, at Petco they had all the female Bettas together in a large tank. The one I bought is now alone with a Nerite snail. Will she be stressed because there are no other female Bettas?

I ended up getting a blue and red Female Betta plus a Nerite snail that appears dark brown with some white spots. I cycled the tank in 24 hours by heavily seeding it with cycled filter media and used driftwood. I had the water tested and there was 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, and about 6 nitrates.

I love Nerites. I have a couple in my 29 gallon. I was thinking maybe an Olive Nerite for the 3.5 gallon. How much should I feed one Nerite?

Yup! I have a few in other tanks but I thought they would be too big for a 3.5 gallon

I have a 3.5 gallon betta tank that has finished cycling. I am going to get a small female Betta for it but are there any snails or other little critters I could get for the tank? I would prefer not to get bladder snails or assasin snails because I don't want it to get overrun by snails. Thanks...

I have a giant tower cap snail, 3 mystery snails, 2 nerites, a million bladder snails, and 1 Colombian ramshorn.

I've heard they eat plants and I have seen a few nibbles in some plants. The one I have is about the size of a mystery snail. I just keep mine at 76 to 78 degrees fahrenheit. I had a rabbit snail. Unfourtanetlly he passed away but he was the cutest little snail! He did not eat plants and he seemed to enjoy staying in his shell during the day and crawling around at night. I would highly recommend rabbit snails!
