Location
somewhere I'm not even sure
I hatched a small clutch of mystery snail eggs a while back and there were over 100 baby snails, tiny little snails crawling all over my tank for over a month before I got them all out and sold to my LFS. I never wanted to do that again and every time my snails laid a clutch of eggs I would freeze and throw them out. It is almost 2am where I am right now and I decided to look in my tank. I saw about 50 tiny little golden snails. I found the largest egg clutch I have ever seen behind my filter. Of course I can't dispose of the eggs now since the babies are hatching currently. So here goes the invasion of the tiny snails once more

so I just realized something. my male mystery snail passed away like a month ago. I have 3 female mystery snails but I also have a Colombian Ramshorn snail. I have heard that they can crossbreed. Is that true? If so, would the babies be hybrids or would some be mysteries, and some Colombian ramshorns?

I guess we can say the babies are a "mystery". *badum tss*

I'm am tempted by the odd but cute looking Rabbit Snail
I've seen those in my LFS and been tempted to get one or two myself. I just wasn't sure whether they'd eat plants, and haven't looked into that yet either :D

I had a rabbit snail. Unfourtanetlly he passed away but he was the cutest little snail! He did not eat plants and he seemed to enjoy staying in his shell during the day and crawling around at night. I would highly recommend rabbit snails!

Those Colombian lads are a size aren’t they? Any bigger and SF would be recommending a minimum tank size for em.
Would one be ok at 20-22c? Do they eat plants? Shrimps? Snails? Eggs? Fry? Fish? Thermometers? Hands?
The feller in my avatar wants me to get one as hes had no one to fight with since since next doors dog moved away last year.

I've heard they eat plants and I have seen a few nibbles in some plants. The one I have is about the size of a mystery snail. I just keep mine at 76 to 78 degrees fahrenheit. I would think they would eat fish eggs though I don't know for sure. They seem to leave my molly fry alone. I don't think they will eat snails or shrimp unless the shrimp is already dead. They do not eat thermometers or hands  I keep mine in a 29 gallon not sure for a minimum tank size though
