they do that becuase if the vinger fizzes, that means the rock is limestone, which is harmful to your fish

Did it have a strip behind its eyes? if so, it is a red eareed slider. the ondittions it was in the pet store is horrid. they love to swim. thye grow quite fast, and can grow up to 12 inches, unless u have the money to get a 90 gallon tank for it when it grows up, i dont think u should get a turtle

you could try to put it by the heater, but if those are guppies, then you really dont have to worry they will be fine.

I dont think you should ever use sand with aquariums, it may look nice, but it goes everywhere and chews up the filter. i think u hsould take all the sand out and put in gravel instead, good luck

I would recommend wood because i think it just looks bettter:) plus u can make more kool designs on the wood.

feeder fish are fish that are bred only used to sell as food to other fish, like knife fish, or other animals like turtles. They are sold relativly cheap, only bout 10 cents a pop.

I dont klnow how to cure it, but I think your fish has urm like fin rot, but on hes lip. mouth fungus

Feeder fish are never the best fish to use to cycle the tank. U will prob bring more parisites than helping. Feedere fish are kept in horrid conditions and are sick unless u buy them once they restock (which is usually on weds for me, ask ur lfs).

thats just the thing, my lfs doesnt sell gravel or rocks! they sell this gravel stuff thats for driveways :( And on vaca i got some pretty river rocks and just wanted to see if i could clean them and put in my tank> so I should boil them?

There really isnt anything that you can help her with right now. Just leave her alone for a while and dont move her. Soon you will have some guppy fry :)

Yep, you just have to add water, and maybe a few plants for the new fry to hide in.

Would it possibly be something like fin fungus? That sounds like the same thing, but with the lip. Fin fungus is caused by dirty water i think, so maybe that is your problem?
