Yeah just do that. Tbh with my two little betta tanks that's all I did. Once it stayed ok test wise for a few days I got my betta and haven't had any problems since.

Looks amazing. Update on my sisters tank. It's now cycled after a few days with a bit of my sponge. All tests are cool, same as I did my two small betta tanks. Cycled in a week with old media.

I seeded both my two betta tanks with media from my bigger tanks and they cycled within one week no problems. My sister did it a nd has very high nitrite every day so I've given her a piece of my media to see if that helps.

I'm rubbish with plants myself but anubias and java fern are so easy and don't need much looking after. Mine have survived so far lol. Your PH is fine as long as now you've taken the rock out it stays the same. Fluctuating PH is the problem.

The tank is the one in my sig, this one has gravel and fake plants. It's fully mature, set up for a year now. It's a standard 60L. I know about PH and the like just wondered if I could fit in a small shoal of something else like neon green rasboras.

Tropiflora and I put in 14 drops for my 21.6 litre. I assume that's what did my frog in because he started floating and his skin sort of started coming off. It went on for weeks and the only thing I'd done was add ferts every 10 days.
