You can get a breeding trap from most local pet shops of your local fish shop they only cost about 5 pounds and they work just fine. You might have been told about stressing the fish out but i have never had a propblem with that.

Thanks for the link lilfishie its good but it does not say any infomation about males. Ive just bred guppys so i gessed the symptons would be the same but the male guppys did not herase the female guppy. So im still not sure if she is going to drop.

I am preety sure that my female swordtail is pregnant and has been for about 25 days she is not that fat but is a slight bit plump. The male has started chasing her allot the last two days. Does this mean she might drop her fry soon or is the male just being a nuisance to her.

i havent had a fire eel my self but my friend has. Hefinds if he turns his tank light of and then feeds it comes out. if he doesnt turn the light of he never sees it. Im not sure if all fire eels do this but his seems very shy and does not like light.
