What do you guys do if you need to restock?

I have sinking shrimp pellets, which ONLY my molly seems to enjoy. My corys always ate flakes...mainly I put in some extra to make sure they fall to the bottom...and my guys eat em up.

I felt that why a bit ago....then I got a bigger tank lol....maybe get a smaller filter for your sand tank, one that can also have a different outflow to solve your sand problem (though you will have to get more, or switch to gravel). COuld be you are over stocked, or worse, tank is in direct...

I've been on here with Ick problems and asking about my betta tank if you've recognized me, and after your help I got rid of the Ick sucessfully... Anyway, I've used an online calculator (that doesn't do 1 inch of fish per gallon), that seemed pretty good, and told me I was like 103% stocked...

Well thank to everyone on their advice, and their support. I'm still deciding on exactly what to house with him, but i I figure itll be a few days before I buy the plants and the hiding spaces if i go with the frog!!

Youre the second person to suggest the male guppy is "interested" in the huge platy...lol. Only thing is, I am just finishing up treating the tank for Ick...I lost a couple of fish, but I raised the temp, which I am daily lowering it a little, and have today and tomorrow to treat before I do a...

Yeah...too bad one has to make multiple trips to the fish store.I started to write down their names, then go home, research it, and go back. I'm not sure what I can do to "rehome" them. They are small now though, enough for the tank for the time being.

I know this is an older post, but my local store said they only got to 4", and I got a new 36 gallon tank (136 liters)...and bought 3 of em. They are active and ok, but if they can get 5 inches that wont be good. My tank is 30 inches long (76 cm).....will they be ok? if not..what can I do?!

I've posted before about Ick, some of you might recognize, but the Ick symptoms have subsided, but I will treat for a few more days. But, since I first added this guppy, it always follows my platy around,goes by it...and almost twists its body while fanning its tail, and it's fins go faster...

One male in a 12 gallon...with 2 croy's which im moving to me 36 gal. SO, deciding if I should leave it to himself or give him tank mates?!

I have a 12 gallon tank, made for my 1 male betta. Here is a pic below. I plan on adding a couple of hiding spots and more plants in a few days, but just wondering if my tank, which is 18" high and has gravel for a substrate, is ok for the frongs? I hear this MAY be too tall? If so, I will...

Quick question..I have my Betta in a 12 gallon tank, but it is 18 inches high, and I use gravel...would this be suitable to add a couple of ADF's? or is it too high?

They will eat it like that, or can I just put some in the water?

Thanks for the advice. I'm battling an Ick problem in my 36 gallon community, so until that is 100% solved I wont be moving the cats, thus no frogs yet. But I plan to getsome more plants and things..thanks!

I may not add any useful knowledge, but I am battling Ich, and even though my guppy showed no white spots, they few hours before he died he just kinda hung out on the bottom like that...then was dead by morning.

Just a little advice to see if my fish are "stressed"... I had my tank at 85degrees F, bought Rid Ich+ and been treating for 3 days, doing every 24 hours, where the second day I did every 12 hours. I do 20-25% water change before treatment, and took out carbon from filter. Duyring water...

Well, I plan on adding another plant of two soon... and maybe either getting more corys, or putting them in my community tank and getting ghost shrimp or Dwarf Frogs...if that's recommended.

Ghost shrimp maybe? All I see sold around hre are ghost shrimp...and bamboo (filter) shrimp...bamboo wouldnt be goodc ause there is almost no current the way I modified the filter for the betta.

Thank you! I will try to get a clear pic later with a better camera....BUt, I know I got a sword plant in there, an umbrella, java moss, and I forgot the one in the middle, but they sell them at Petsmart over here. THe Julli corys have been by the betta, and vice versa, and they just leave...

THanks..will do. I read alot of other posts too. I have rainbow bosemani's, neons, glo-lights, and coreys too. They seem to be ok now at 85..but i'll try raising to 90 for a couple hours at a time, and do the water change and treatment with new stuff starting tonight. Thanks!

I have raised to to 85 degrees (approx. 30 celcius) last night. I will be going to get new meds tonight...any suggestions on a "good one"? Most require you to remove carbon filter..so I should replace it?

I've always has fish tanks in my home, but I never took care of them I was too young, so I put down 21-30..cause I didnt start keeping bettas by myself until then.

Seems the store doesnt either, naming it a "mystery" snail and all ...lol

I have a full grown sunburst platy, and a regular smaller platy that always stick together. I have 4 gupies also with other fish in a 36 gallon tank. It seems one, sometimes two guppies only bother the big platy. THey seem to chase, follow around, and rub up against him. Sometimes it appears...

Nope..only mystery snails around here. But I bought a sponge to fit to size, and got a bottle. I'll figure try one, then the other, and both while tank is still empty but full to see whats what.
