platys and guppys can be equaly interesting active, and colourful begining fish. theyre also very easy to breed (just wait). id recomend them for begining as seing little fry for the first time makes you feel like an amazing fishkeeper =P just a thought

im guessing its a juwel aquarium? removing their shoddy interior filters which might i add are good for about 2 weeks. getting an external would not only increase the quality of your water but also give you a little more interior space. depends really if you have the funds to get a good external...

i got rid of mine today!!! had it for a while, its still small, like yours. it was fine at first, then it started hiding away. and recently wheenver i try to get her out she would hiss, and strike at me, soemtimes latching on. she turned evil for no reason. so watch out.
