Hi, I also have a 20 H and i just recently ordered a 24" 65 watt compact flourescent with 6700k. Will this be too much lighting? I haven't gotten the light yet, but it has been ordered. I do not wish to fool with co2. Is this too much light?

We have tried all of that. The light does not affect them at all.

I just wanted to point out that I have had a background for say 10 months now and have never once gotten water between it and the glass. I only have it taped twice on each side. I just don't see where the problem comes from.

when i had mine i fed it cooked or raw shrimp from the grocery store. i just cut small piece off, put it on a stick, stuck it in there and he came over and ripped it off.

I don't know about all crayfish but mine ate a eye out of my pleco and killed a crab.

Wood that releases tannins (not sure if thats what it is called) does that harm the fish?

:D Where can i get cheap driftwood that is aquarium safe? The lakes and creeks around is all polluted so I really don't want to get it from there. Maybe a really cheap place online? I just can't seem to find any anywhere. The LFS doesn't sell any either. Help Please! :D
