we had our pre-formed cold water pond in for about 2 weeks now and all of a sudden there was and explosion of green algea its everywhere and the water is completely green - we tried puttin in a water cleaner (made for ponds) but that did nothing we have a fountain runnin all the time along...

my girlfriend was at the local LFS the other day and she said she seen a purple looking african cichlid and she was posotive it was a cichlid ....any ideas what it might be? :/

i dunno for sure cuz i got most of them from the LFS and it just said Misc Afr. Cich. on the tags but ill do some lookin and try and find out if found bout a dozen babies so far :hyper:

right now i have 1 female i think (how do i tell) convict and a jack dempsey in my 55 gal i would like to get a few more cons and try and breed them do i need to get rid of the jack or will the cons fight it off to defend there young how many more Convicts should i add, the one i have now is...

i never thought about that could i keep them in a net or something in my tank or do i need another tankto raise them

i was cleanin my tank today removing all my large rocks and i noticed 3 little baby fish ... i have a 29gal cichlid tank and none of the fish are the same kind in there except 2 upside down cats which are not full grown i dont think how can i got about gettin the babies out without putting them...

will tiger barbs and convicts get along together in a 55gal tank wit plenty of hiding spaces for them to hide and establish territory

could i have more then 1 rainbow shark in a 55 gal tank with the only other tank mates being different kinds of tiger barbs or wouldnt this be big enough for more then 1?

right now i have 3 tiger barbs... i was wondering if i was to bad 3-6 more if they would be less likely to pick on other fish and bug the other barbs

i took back some fish today with a water sample and the lady said that i have high amonia....what can i do about this :crazy:

:-( well one died about an hour ago :byebye: and one seems to be heading the same direction but my last one seems to be doing great and loves being with the tiger barbs

i just got 3 small cloach loaches bout an inch long yesterday and like to try adn buyr themselves in teh rocks and sleep on their heads :crazy: is this common for them ?

i have 7 danios and my tiger barbs dont bother them at all i want to add some guppies but my lfs doesnt advise it do u think i have enough room in my tank and plenty of cover the gupies wont be bothered??

^^ i like that idea.... i plan on giving 1-2 of my CAE to my cousin soon before they get to much bigger there stilll pretty small what do u guys think about a clown loach or 2 ...would i have enough room or not really id like to get some guppies but im affraid with the tiger barbs that wouldnt...

for some reason neons dont last in my tank i started off with five and 4 died so bout 2 weeks later i bought 4 more they died and the original was still alive :dunno: i dont know why but i dont plan on buying anymore of them i like kuhli;s but ive only found them at one of my lfs and they...

my tanks starting to get to its full stage i belive and i was lookin for some more fish but dont really have an idea of what would go good with what i already have...i was thinkin a clown loach but i dont belive my tanks big enough for one or maybe a few more cories there so neat B) what...

how would one or 2 go with the fish i have (check my sig) the lfs had them for 8$ the other is that a decent price for them? :dunno:

what would be a good number of clown loaches to buy i was think 3-5 since they cuz they cost a little more round here for some reason and i didnt know if id get a certain number they'd pick on each other or something

how well do they get along with each other, rght now i have 2 cory cats and have been looking to get some clown loaches soon but didnt know how well they get along with each other

is there a difference in the driftwood/bogwood u use for reptile tanks then the ones u use in a fish aquarium

all 5 of my neons died also, i bought them on friday....today the last one died :(

what about feeding corn would it be bad for them or benificial at all? :dunno:

are my choices all that bad?? basiclly i got them to cycle my tank :sad: ill probably be gettin rid of the zebra danios and the CAE cuz they were demperary fish to get the tank going

maybe ill give them another chance and get some more,,,,,,my mom got my first ones from walmart - maybe that was the problem :dunno:
