    new tank

200g tank? Damn i wish i had one of those but you have alot of choices if it is that big, figure out what you like and do some research or ask around to see what else people have in a tank of that size so you get an idea of what is suitable for such a tank. Silver dollars get large and...

    how hot is ur tank????

Keeping it that high is not wise for the fish. Depending on the type of fish( some like/need high temps ie Discus, cardinal tetras) they either need lower temps or high temps. It has to do with body enzymes and denaturation if i've learned anything in university biology. The fish will not be...

    Puffer Questions

I dont think i would go for 12 dwarf puffs probably 6-9 of them maybe less to keep agression down. Has anyone noticed that the more space and the less the puffers the more they will pack? Most people that i've read about keep them in a 20 or less gallon tank but i'm sure someone can account...

    German Blue Rams

    Good Ground cleaners

Well you might want to stay away from plecs and corys if you plan to make it brackish, they dont generally get along with salt in the water. i'm not sure if loaches are salt tolerant but i think most might be. otos are cheap but again check up to see if they can tolerate the brackish...

Please help - big nitrite spike

I think the only thing another filter would do is give the bacteria another prime spot to establish and keep particles etc out of the water. From the sounds of it if you added any fish they may have over loaded your bio filter and the bacteria need to adjust

how do you sink your driftwood?

i find that usually after they've been boiled for a while to take out all the tanins they will sink after being put into the tank with little to no assistance. If that doesnt work try holding it down with something for a while, if its been boiled and all that it should sink before your next...
