Our test kit is liquid. We don't have "Prime" here, but we have been using something that does the same.

Had 6 Tiger Barbs - Now Down To 2

wow, that's a lot of water changing isn't it? Well, it seems as though the female betta has eaten the scissor-tail :( I noticed her yesterday becoming agressive towards it, and now that I have come home from work it is gone. She doesn't bother the gourami...YET. I hope she doesn't!! So...

Had 6 Tiger Barbs - Now Down To 2

Thank you for your response germ, it is not in vain...we will be following exactly as you have directed. That is so great of you to do. We understand the process now, so hopefully the rest of the fish will survive. They seem to be doing better since I did the 25% water change earlier today...

Had 6 Tiger Barbs - Now Down To 2

When we set up the tank, we added a tap water conditioner and a slime coater. Then on day 4 we noticed the white spots so added an ICH treatment for the next 3 days. That's when we lost all the fish. There are 3 left in the tank - gourami, scissor-tail, & betta. So how much % of water...

Thank you for the replies. We now realize we were a bit impatient with the new tank and adding fish....we will do our best to keep the ones left alive.

Had 6 Tiger Barbs - Now Down To 2

My husband and I are new to this, but we did do our research and we set up our tank as advised. A few days later, we had one barb with ICH, so we started treatment. Then I noticed another with the flashing/spots. On the second day of treatment, all the fish in our tank (except for the female...

:( Well we lost 2 fish. I just don't get it. Earlier I tested ph - which was fine, tested amonia - none, tested nitrate - nothing.

    Ich Treatment

Thank you! I ran out and bought a stone pump to add into the tank. Now there is definately good movement. And so far they moving more. I have to run back out - hopefully they are ok and when I get back home they will be even better. I am 99% positive that the one barb has ICH - definately...

    Ich Treatment

We are sooooo new at this hobby :( We have a pump/filter that is for a 50gallon tank on our 25 gallon tank. The flow around the filter is good, there are lots of bubbles. I don't know :( I had the temp up for a day & 1/2, but last night I turned it down.

    Ich Treatment

A few days ago I noticed one of our green tiger barbs had spots. We are treating the aquarium with "NOX-ICH". Today I notice that the barb, along with the other fish, aren't moving around as much. They are basically just staying in one spot?? And at the top of the tank. What is going on...

Just Starting Out - This What We Have

I have been observing them a lot and I see that it is one tiger barb going after all the other barbs, but in particular the bigger green tiger (who was by itself until I added more). Will it's tail grow back? The betta pretty much keeps to herself, so far anyway. I just hate to see a fish...

Just Starting Out - This What We Have

We have a 25 US gallong tank with 5 barbs (3 green & 2 reg tiger), 1 female beta, 1 dwarf gourami, & 1 scissor tail. One of the green tigers is bigger and has had some of his/her (?) tail bitten off. It won't mix in with the other 4 either - really keeps to himself and kinda stays in one...
