I did exactly the same thing - I used cold water on my first 50% water change. No idea why, I just did. :S ...and then FREAKED when the temperature dropped from a nice, cozy 26ºc to 20ºc!!! My poor fishes!!

I'm gonna ditto this because it's important. I was given the same (poor) advice by the LFS as you i.e. "Seven days will be fine" and now I'm fighting SERIOUS water problems. For the sake of your fish, listen to all the good advice here and be patient. ;)

Hi all, A chum of mine has her two handsome goldfish ('Dave' and 'Brian') in a bog-standard goldfish bowl. She's thinking of upgrading to a Biorb. Has anyone here got any experience/thoughts on these? Is it worth the cost and does it make things easier maintenance-wise? :fish:
