I do a lot of remodeling work on houses and I would say that most floors would easily support a 55 gallon tank. I don't think you'll have a problem on the second floor.

I just got the Koi not too long ago. The Koi are in a 6 gallon tank right now. I want to put them in a larger tank for the rest of the winter and then put them in a pond this summer.

I'm going to be putting my small Koi into a larger tank for the rest of the winter and I was wondering if I could add a few white clouds. The Koi are about 2 inches long. Does anyone know if they will eat or pick on the white clouds?

I would suggest getting a least 6 neons at once. They like the company of others. I have 14 in may 30 gallon tank and they're pretty neat to watch hang out together. I think it's definately worth getting 6.
