I think your tank will be overstocked with your proposed stock.

As your tank is cycling, you will need to do a 10% change a day, unless levels go higher (you may need to do more then).

With fin rot (if that is what it is), the best thing to do is 10% water changes a day. This will prevent further infection and it will heal the affected area within 5 days.

Dont overdose on the meds. Do a 50% waterchange asap. That will bring the levels down.

If there was enough hiding places (plants and moss) for the shrimp then they would survive. You may lose a few and they wont breed as much, but I love them because they eat all the algae/excess food in my tank. I sell Cherry shrimp btw :hey:

Totally agree. My neon tetras had finrot when they were in my quarantine tank, and I rushed to buy meds straight away. After 4 days there was no change so I did 10% a day and within 3-4 days their tails grew back. Good luck!!

To be honest, if it goes to the point of stopping the cycle then I cant help you. But if you are worried about fish, a stable PH is better than a fluctuating one.

First things first. What size is your tank? Have you cycled it? What are your water parameters (not just 'fine', the actuall numbers). What other fish are in there. This will help us to help you. Thanks, Elise

Hi, 64L is a good size and Corys and Kuhli loaches are great tankmates. In theory as shrimps do not really add to the bioload you could probably have 250+ in there, but you can have a starting batch of maybe 50 if you like? Less if your budget does not allow. You can go on my website in my sig...

Try and get them down to 0. Maybe another 25% change and also add an airstone if you are worried about water surface. Good Luck!

If you want to breed serious amounts (200+) then I would say get a new tank. It doent have to be that large (50Litres can hold around 200 if you maintain it well).
