I also think it depends on the amount of natural light thats in the room.........as I have heaps of windows, I dont need to turn the lights on very much..........in total mine are on for about 6 hours although with daylight savings coming in and winter setting, this will need to change as it...

I have mine on around 6.00pm and switch them off around 10.30pm after which time my moonlights come on for 2 hours.............

Value for money would be a 3 speed dual outlet from Aqua One..........I've had one for nearly 15 years and still goes...........I just purchased a larger one for my new tank......cost me $18 AUS in Melbourne.

Actually, I only had the Neons, 3 Swordtails, Peppered Cat fish, 1 Bristlenose and both Clownies since early December...........Was told by LFS they would be alright. They were all very small but the Clownies are now about 5cms so thought the right thing to do was buy a larger tank.... Mine...

I would actually do a 10-15% water change every second day until the cloudiness and smell clears up.........weekly may not assist in getting rid of the cloudiness quickly.........

hahahaha I actually read that U.K and also my native Holland is very cold with heaps of snow at the moment........ We have the complete opposite down under...................was 43 degrees celcius yesterday and been very hot last few weeks....... Need to make small 10% water changes at times...

I'm going on an overseas holiday to Thailand for 3 weeks and looking at an auto feeder..........would anyone recommend one? (not until November) Also, will my large 242 litre tank be O'K for 3 weeks without the water change etc? Unfortunately, I wont have anyone available to look after it. cheers

Yep, been there and done that as well............ If it was'nt for Miss Wiggle and others, I would have gone mad, returned the fish and tank and started knitting...!!!

I was told today the tank is only 3 weeks away...............should arrive within the fortnight and then it takes up to a week after that............can you tell I'm excited......... Now I'm not getting carried away (not much anyway) but we've decided (wife and kids) to not put in any theme lie...
