You told them not to keep with male gups and then put him in a tank with male gups? Guppies are the worst tankmates for Bettas they often seem fine for a few weeks but after that all hell break loose
Well today I have another pair wrapping :D My gorgeous bright red DT male and a deep orange HM Female :good:
Mario with half his nest *it now fills the cup and is very thick*
Flame *much darker now she's settled*
Wrapping ;)
:D
What fish have died and have you actually seen the clowns doing it? i highly doubt it is them, i have a groups with small tetras, baby guppies and bettas
never heard of them killing other fish, they'll happily munch on dead fish as will any other fish in the tank. As said you need more for the group and they also grow very large so require a 6ft tank
Thats normal amount Via Courier but can get a decent amount of fish for this of course if your only wanting 1 then its expensive, but if you have say 8 bags with 1-5 fish per bag not so bad ;)
Well this copper pair had been together 3 days up until today, this was there 4th release and just as I was about to trap the female as I left for work they started wrapping! Left them to is *spent the whole time at work worrying!* Came back they'd finished both 100% fine :) Females out with 1...
no but 2 of the fish you have are shoalers so ideally need 5+ IMO I would also remove the barbs and get more harlequins although personally I like to see them in a 3ft tank
 I never even noticed it, but when have you seen a pleco with no poop. Already have 1 in this months will get a better pic once there more settled :good:
My females lie with Tetras, Plecs and a few other select fish with no issues :)
Believe me i have thought about it!
There from EV Aquatics, they only get advertised on FB *link is in my sig ;)* there amazing value at only £4 each :D
Females are great in groups of 5 or more, but generally the more you have the less aggression there is, they'l always be a bit when sorting out who is alpha. I currently have 15 females together which these will be added too :)
There in with my female bettas so less nippy and taking no attention to them at all :) they've all settled well, there's the odd fin tear from the other BNs and sorting dominance out but its on the mend already :)
Now out of hiding got this shot yesterday :D
Other Calico
Albino
what size is the tank? From my experience your best to add in groups of 3 or more to spread the aggression to the new comers, I personally don't add less than 5 at a time
Well heres more females I have coming :D All HMs ;)
Cambo
Metallic pink
Red & Black lace
Green & Red
Copper Red
Very pleased with them. Still have 2 spaces to fill the box too ;)
He's not had time to settle yet, there's no need to make them flare, it won't change how shy he is. I notice you said A silk plant as in that's the only thing in the tank? If that is the case then no wonder he is shy, he doesn't feel secure
