I'm no longer getting frontosa, and my kenyi seem to be very relaxed. My jeweled cichlid on the other hand seems to be getting quite mean. I'm worried that if I put the rocks in my tank my ph will sky rocket. My tap water is already 8.4ph. I am going to have 100+ rocks to do a vinegar test on.

I'm going to try getting him tomorrow.

Small update, I was helping my family pick rocks out of their fields and found some awesome rocks that I will be putting in the tank after they get cleaned and sterilized. I'm hopping this will add more depth to my tank.

Sadly she won't part with the tank, it was the first thing I tried to do. Also I live In the middle of nowhere so re homing the fish for me would be really hard. I am looking for others in my comunity to take them but I'm having a hard time.

Sadly they are not buying another filter an just want to get rid of the fish. I have a feeling the fish will die :(

Hi, proper ph 7.0 will cause your tank to spike in ph if you do not monitor it. So it's best that you find fish that are accustomed to your tap water. This is coming from experience. Lost a few fish from this.

No this tank is cycled already and has been set up and established for well over 2 months now. I am doing wc so frequently because I live out in the country and have no job currently so I just do alot of tank maintenance to keep myself occupied. Just so we are all looking in the right spot...

Well I just went to feed my fish and found my male and female kenyi doing what looks like kissing. At first I thought they were fighting but they are both being so...gentle. I managed to get a pic, I can try to get a video if needed?

So for a few days now one of the new kenyi I bought has need sitting at the bottom of the tank and not eating. When I first released her into the new tank she swam happily although my oldest kenyi was picking on her. Today I found her at the bottom of the tank and thought she had passed away...

No I mean like measuring only the head to the tail. The claws themselves can get over 2-3"
