Well thats what I thought, I think I borrowed some of those tabs off you actually a while back. However I'm sure I read somewhere on here that they went into the substrate, maybe I imagined it. Should I just crush them up in a pestle and mortar next time I do a water change then?

So you should push jbl ferrotabs directly into the substrate?

They were giving out free samples of JBL ferrotabs at a garden centre I visited today, does anybody have any experience of these? Should they be pushed into the substrate or crushed and poured into the water ect?

Just got some java fern from greenline aquatics, just really long leaves attached to roots, and my concern is will it bush out ect, or will I just have a load of long "spindles" of fern?

Hello........ I'm re-aquascaping my tank after getting my JBL set 2 CO2 system for christmas :D :D and I was wondering where was best to buy from online in the UK. I've bought from greenline before but is there a better alternative?

From what I umderstand it might be best to gut the tank and start again from scratch, rather than adding medecines.

I also have found them to be very shy, I don't really think its anything to worry about.

I heard that the nipping only became a problem if the tetras were underfed or does it happen regardless?

I've heard that sepae tetras are fin nippers, and as such does this mean I can keep them with angel fish, or would this be a non-starter?

Will it affect the bacteria in my filter media? And what about the plants, will they be ok?

Hi there, I've diagnosed my fish as having fin rot and added the antibiotics from my lfs, but what i'd really like to know is how long does it take before it takes effect. I really want to do a water change but i'm worried about diluting the medication

Hello, I've got what appears to be a thin film of green algae floating on top of my planted 240L. I've tried upping the surface movement but this didn't help. Has anybody got similar problems or any experience of getting rid of it? It just seems to keep getting worse.

I diffuse my Co2 through the filter media, and I've never had a problem with it.

Yeah I haven't used an airstone because I was told this wouldn't diffuse the co2 very well. I tried to get one direct but they said this wasn't an option. Does the JBL spiral thing do the same job?
