Lights...need some help..my tube light in my tank seems to be on its last legs..its gone really dim..looked for one of similar size on ebay and was surprised at how expensive they are £20+ ok i get that might not be much to some of you but to me thats expensive considering ive just purchased a...

right just done a clean of the tank...if it's back in a few days what should i do?..

dangerous? what's causing it? i don't exactly over feed my betta, 3-4 pellets a day and i make sure he eats them, tank is heavily planted, could rotting leaves cause this?

oh it's not like you can see them and a few here and there i don't mind..i only posted it here coz i didn't know if they were harmful to my betta. im tempted to dump it in the coldwater tank with the oranda,black moor and fantail..poor snail won't last 10 seconds..those fat gits will eat...

oh thank god thats ok then, betta doesn't seem to be interested in them..they sure do move quick tho! :o

well thats good news! :D now..what do you all use to feed your plants? what is safe to use in small betta tank and a 55litre coldwater tank? i've heard people use liquid or tablets. very confusing. which would you get? bear in mind my budget is not great :/...

are snails bad for tanks? people keep them in their tanks don't they?..confused now lol

hmmmm what about live food? Black moors i've found to be very fragile goldfish :/ i've had a few of them and thankfully the one i currently have even tho is small, nips back and is a strong swimmer, but unlike the oranda and fantail he doesn't east as fast. Is your black moor looking for food...

lettuce. try that, using a feeding clip or just drop it in the tank, my black moor and oranda gobble that up. Usually perks them up after.

i have a small oranda that is behaving like this, i have two filters in my tank, 1 is a spray bar and the other is just a water flow one, i remember it being very lively at first and now it prefers to hide in the small boat ornament in the tank but soon as it gets a whiff of anyone near the tank...

oh i'll be putting in a the filter from my other fish tank and putting the new filter in the old tank, which has two filters in there so it shouldn't be a problem.. im looking at lighting.. what do you think to this...

this is what i was thinking, my coldwater tank is 55 litres, so i could easily take out the amount of water needed to fill the small tank and run the old filter in the new tank and the new filter in the old tank, as i've got two filters running on the big tank im not worried about the ammonia...
