    thoose bars depend on which tank you have, some have removable bars, some dont its dependant on age of the tank.

    I have my water report in my hand, Chlorine Free = Min 0.10 Mean 0.47 Max 0.77 Chlorine Total = Min 0.19 Mean 0.52 Max 0.81 So if you read the article linked and what others have said it backs up chlorine at tap levels has none or negligible effect on filter bacteria. sorry those are in mg/l...

    the bunches of "grass" you really need to split them up in to 1/2mm diameter bunches and plant them, they will do soo much better. They also will go a bit brown in the first few weeks.

    Ive not used de-chlorinator in years, and always washed my filters/media trays under a tap and never had any issues, illness or disease in any tank. Have also never personally seen any evidence of wiping out a filter colony.

    going by new studys you wont of done any damage to bacteria :good: i beleive it as i washed a mature filter well under a tap, added it to a new tank with ammonia rich substrate less than two weeks amonia = 0
